Large cities, small towns, airports, SMBs, and thousands of others have been victims of attacks. Recently, on “60 Minutes,” correspondent Scott Pelley reported on the growing cyber threat called ransomware. Ransomware is a type of malware that locks up your files and blocks access to your computer system. When infected, your network and your data are locked until money is paid with a digital currency that is almost impossible to trace. If you have been paying attention, ransomware attacks are on the rise as some experts say it is now more profitable for criminals than selling drugs.
